Skeeter Freeman is a struggling country songwriter. After a tragic event on his wedding day, he spirals out of control into a sea of angst and high comedy. Along with his two buddies, he seeks out his idol, Bulldog Hayes, in search of some much needed inspiration. But when Bulldog turns out to be nothing like he imagined, Skeeter has to rely on himself to right the ship and fulfill his dreams of moving to Nashville.
