While people reading this update are more likely to discuss whether Zack Snyder is a good director or not, let's try to focus on the latest photo released by the director. Snyder went to his Twitter account to show audiences the first shot of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League movie. We had expected plenty of the marketing surrounding the character to focus on J.K. Simmons' new build. Not the case here. Speaking of, have you seen his new build? The dude is jacked at 61!
Instead of showing off the actor's training for the role, the first movie still instead shows him seeking aid from, you guessed it, Batman. It's a great shot, showcasing classic Snyder cinematography. Though the character himself is very hard to make out. What we do get to see, however, is the Batman logo to be used in this DC installment and possible usage of the black & white medium.

It didn't occur to me that there was a #BatmanDay, but Zack Snyder made it perfectly clear when he went to Twitter on September 17th, 2016. While I was originally embarrassed not to have known about this "holiday", I was relieved to discover the tradition was made up by DC (of course) and is fairly new.

September 17th was the third annual celebration of this so-called event, so DC is still working out the kinks it seems. Will the holiday bring us a new trailer for Justice League? What about a new TV spot? Neither, as it seems Warner Bros is holding off on that sort of marketing. So Zack Snyder had to go rogue and post something on the day himself.
