Trailer for Deepwater Horizon.
On April 20th, 2010, the world’s largest man-made disaster occurred on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Directed by Peter Berg (Battleship), this story honors the brave men and women whose heroism would save many on board, and change everyone’s lives forever.
Although Kurt Russell is not Kate Hudson's biological dad, she considers him as a father figure as her mother Goldie Hawn and Kurt have been together for over 30 years and finally got married last year. This will be the first time that Kate Hudson and Kurt Russell will work together on a film.
This will mark Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg's second time working together. The first film was Lone Survivor.
An actual oil rig was built just for this film, this rig is located in New Orleans, Louisiana where filming mostly took place.
Wow, I loved this trailer. I loved the juxtaposition of the little girl telling her daddy a story about her project based on his job with the real life footage from the film. We all know that chaos is coming since this film is based on the real life story. The tension keeps building and building until her little soda can bursts like an oil rig which then leads us into chaos.
You know that Director Peter Berg likes to bring the action and thrill based on Battleship and Lone Survivor (the latter being much better), so I am expecting an edge of your seat ride that will be very tense. Since we know how everything will end (hopefully not spoiling anything), I am curious to see how Peter handles the tragedy.
