Trailer for Imperium, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Toni Collette.
Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe), a young, idealistic FBI agent, goes undercover to take down a radical right-wing terrorist group. The bright up-and-coming analyst must confront the challenge of sticking to a new identity while maintaining his real principles as he navigates the dangerous underworld of white supremacy.
It turns out that production photos showing Harry Potter rocking a shaved head was newsworthy alone, with photos from the set hitting websites September, 2015. It was not as newsworthy, however, as Daniel Radcliffe's role of a dead guy in Swiss Army Man.
Lionsgate's smaller division, Lionsgate Premiere, will handle the film's limited theatrical release.
Wow, Daniel Radcliffe makes for one convincing skinhead. Playing the fish out of water agent, it's hard not to be impressed with the actor's ability to transition into any role. And he's not the only big name either. Though the film is expected to have a limited run, the cast is impressive. If you are having a hard time trying to figure out how you recognize so many faces, let's set up some six degrees of separation. Leaving Toni Collette out, we can match up a number of the cast just by watching HBO's Game of Thrones and True Blood. Top it off with Showtime's The Knick with a splash of The Dark Knight, and we pretty much round out the leads.
The trailer for Imperium showcases a thriller that seems to pull the same suspenseful chords as The Departed, which makes sense considering Daniel Radcliffe is in a very similar position to Leonardo DiCaprio. While the limited run will make this film hard to see, expect a solid following once it lands on a premium network.
