Trailer for Mine.
After a failed assassination attempt, a soldier finds himself stranded in the desert. Exposed to the elements, he must survive the dangers of the desert and battle the psychological and physical toll of the treacherous conditions.
Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro will be stepping into the Director chair on a feature film for the first time with this film. But, this is not the first time these two have worked together. They both Directed three prior short films: Afterville, The Silver Rope & E:D:E:N. Also, not only did they Direct these four films, but they were also the Writers on all four.
This will be the first film for Armie Hammer in the War genre.
Mine was released in Italy on October 6, 2016 by Eagle Pictures. It will be released in the United States by Well Go USA Entertainment. The film will debut on the fall festival circuit prior to its theatrical, digital, and home video release throughout the U.S. and Canada.
You cannot watch this trailer without thinking of 127 Hours. Both films focus on one man put into an extreme situation and what he must go through to find a way to safety. With Mine, we get the scenery of war which add a different element and what look like more dangerous scenario.
I think Armie Hammer can be hit or miss with his acting. He became a household name when The Social Network came out just over 6 years ago. Since then, he has really only played supporting roles and will finally get the chance to prove himself with this intense lead acting role. Based on the trailer it looks like Armie is a great fit. Which is a lot of pressure because this whole film rides on whether or not Armie can come through and deliver. We will have to find out once the film becomes available here in the United States, which I plan on catching when it hits On Demand.
