Kathi (Stephanie Stremler), a 30 year old struggling actress in Berlin, is made to suffer by her mother Chris (Susanne Lothar), a successful psychologist, repeatedly telling her that she does everything wrong. When her father (Michael Child) resurfaces, after a 15 year absence, wanting to reunite the family, she has the opportunity of some relief and a chance to become independent.
