His only connection to the outside world is Sofia, an aspiring writer who is hoping George’s sharp wit and still keen intellect will inspire her to abandon her dreary life. But as George’s physical health deteriorates, it is Sofia who must inspire George to continue living his. Along the way, she finds that George is not the only one living in exile.
