Known for his "Mask" persona, donning face paint and outlandish outfits, Lewis started selling TapouT apparel out of the trunk of his car at mixed martial arts events in the late 1990's. Despite ending up homeless while chasing his dream, his endless support of MMA and its fighters during the early years helped turn TapouT into a multi-million dollar a brand that became synonymous with MMA and the UFC. Shortly after Lewis died in tragic a car crash in 2009, the UFC named him as the first non-fighter to their Hall of Fame, adding his name to the top of the octagon for most events.
