Film follows Japanese businessman Toshio Sugimoto (Yusuke Kawazu): A privileged foreigner whose leisurely lifestyle comes to halt after he accidentally kills a Vietnamese. Forced to escape Vietnam he heads north on a military road with his lover Lanh and newly acquainted companion Taro, who is the half-blood son of an ex-Japanese soldier.
