Theatrical Trailer for Deadpool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, Leslie Uggams and Jack Kesy. This is supposedly the "final" trailer for the film.
In the sequel, Deadpool forms a team of mutants called the X-Force to protect a young mutant from the time-traveling soldier Cable. Though they don't know it yet, Cable is also a likely ally.
It is clear that this sequel has a bigger budget -- and more studio faith -- than the first Deadpool. During pre-production, it was announced that director Tim Miller would be departing the production after both he and Ryan Reynolds admitted to creative differences. What's strange is that Ryan Reynolds was proud of the first films gritty production and lower budget. This time around, however, it looks like it was Tim Miller who hoped to repeat that formula, while Reynolds was happy to use a much bigger budget and a more "stylized" production. At least, according to TJ Miller, who returns as Weasel.
Unrelenting! Even though this new trailer for Deadpool 2 isn't a red band version -- sigh -- it has no problem throwing the finger to just about every major franchise. A nod towards DC? Of course! But this merc with a mouth even plants a few jokes at Marvel as well.
But the dialogue doesn't end there. "Luck isn't a super power. It's certainly not very cinematic." lol
And then the amazing visuals. They are here too. Music choice? Always awesome.
In short -- I have nothing to complain about, and can't wait to see this opening night.
